Arif Rashid, M.D.

Dr. Rashid joined UHS in 2021. He is the third generation of physician from his family to live and serve in the Binghamton community and in the Southern Tier generally and to care for patients as part of UHS. He completed his undergraduate studies in engineering and economics from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical studies from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Rashid has conducted research at the intersection of engineering/informatics and clinical radiation oncology and has published manuscripts in prominent radiation oncology journals. Dr. Rashid has experience with all modalities of radiation treatment and treats all disease sites. In his free time, Dr. Rashid enjoys playing tennis and exploring the natural surroundings in the area. He particularly enjoys when his patients recommend him pizza places to check-out in the triple cities.
